How to use Twitter to Expand your Business

Social media is an effective way to tell your audience about who you and your clients are. However, only posting on your page will not help you create concrete relationships with your followers. Check out these tips for Twitter.

The world of social media is all about building connections. Most people would assume that is just through follows, likes and comments, but what about responding back to those who reach out to your page?

Just as two-way communication is important in everyday life, it is also highly important on social media. According to Sprout Social, “21% of consumers would rather message a brand on social media instead of calling up customer service.”

Twitter is one of the best platforms to engage in a two-way conversation. Not only can you directly respond to tweets and create threads, but you can also send a direct message to any person whether they are public or private. It is also a great platform for researching what people are interested in by way of their hashtags.

Twitter hashtags give you the ability to track what is trending and how to connect with people who have the same interests. You can also use Google Trends to help you broaden your hashtag search.

In order to grow your business on Twitter, the first step you need to take is to start interacting with those who love you or your business. Don’t leave their direct messages hanging out in “no man’s land”. Engage them and see your Twitter page grow.
