Hide hashtags and mentions in stories. Stories may only be available for a short period of time, but tagging people in them is easy. But what if you don’t want hashtags and mentions to clutter the photos in your stories? You can hide them behind stickers, polls and even color. The hashtags and mentions will still connect; it just doesn’t make your images look overly cluttered.
Make your whole story background one color. Want to fill your screen with color on your stories but don’t want to obsessively fill it in with your finger? Simply, choose the color you want and hold your finger down on the story image. Your whole image should fill with the color you selected, and then you can use your eraser tool to make certain parts of the image you used

Archive stories and use them in highlights. Did you know that Instagram automatically saves stories into your story archive? This allows you to look back on past stories and also reuse them on new stories or save them to your highlight reel. Use the close friends feature to give select people an inside look at a post. This is one of Instagram’s newest features where you can show specific friends, customers or influencers sneak peeks of what is coming up. It will make people feel like they’re getting special treatment and your engagement will show it! Here is how you do it: Go to your profile, swipe left, add people onto your close friend’s list and then select “close friends” when posting to your “story”.
Filter negative comments. If you receive a lot of spam messages in your Instagram inbox, you can turn on comment controls in your settings. You have the option to turn off all negative comments or insert certain keywords in your privacy and security settings.
