A picture is worth a thousand words, and they are becoming an important staple in social media posts. It is basic best practice to include an image in social media posts.
According to Hubspot, “if a relevant image is paired with information, people retained 65% of the information three days later.”
The importance of images is higher than ever before so how do you create images when you are on a budget and have little to no graphics experience? Here are a few tips to get you started:
Stay AWAY from nonbrand colors. Maintaining consistency is highly important to the success of your brand story. If your brand’s colors are shades of pink and gray, you do not want to start adding in the other colors of the rainbow to confuse your followers.
Less copy is better copy. Too many words on an image can be distracting and not a favorite with Facebook. Share your main message in the words but let your image doing the majority of the talking.
Be creative but relatable. Graphics are a great way to be creative and show the voice of your brand. However, try not to go overboard on the circles, fancy fonts, wacky backgrounds or other design materials that can take away from your overall message.
Use high-quality images. No one likes a grainy, unclear image. Give your followers the “wow” factor with clear, colorful and breathtaking images.
